“Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO reported that Mongolia and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization will jointly celebrate the 800th anniversary of the establishment of the ancient Mongolian city of Karakorum. Year of 2020 will celebrate the 800th anniversary of the establishment of the city of Karakorum (Kharkhorin) capital of the Mongol Empire between 1235 and 1260”.
